A Note on Our Dress Code

Historically, dance studios maintained different dress codes for girls and boys. Today, we are happy to embrace and encourage all gender expressions. Your dancer is welcome to wear any of the options listed below and you are welcome to reach out to us with any questions! Regardless of gender expression, safety will ALWAYS come first and we reserve the right to have dancers sit out of class if their attire puts their safety at risk (i.e. excessively baggy garments, jeans, garments with long loose strings, etc) at the discretion of the teacher.

ACRO

Fitted dancewear, bare feet

BALLET

ALL LEVELS: Any color leotard, pink or skin tone tights. Students have the option of wearing a ballet skirt or any of the following in SOLID COLORS: form-fitting shorts, form-fitting leggings, form-fitting shirt. Pink or Black Ballet Slippers.

Absolutely NO loose garments or jeans. Dancers will have to sit-out of class and watch if they are wearing these.

COMBO CLASSES

Clothes: Any form-fitting activewear. No jeans, skirts, or dresses.

Shoes:

BALLET: Pink (girls or female-identifying) or Black (boys or male-identifying) Ballet Slippers

TAP: No-Tie Velcro Tap Shoes

JAZZ: Tan Slip-On Jazz Shoes

ACRO: Bare feet

HIP-HOP: Sneakers (NOT shoes that are worn to school…must be exclusively used for dance class)

LYRICAL: Pirouettes (also called Half-soles or Turners)​

CONDITIONING

Fitted Dancewear, Tan Turners / Pirouette Shoes​

HIP-HOP

Comfortable Dancewear, can be loose as long as it does not impede the dancers movement or safety, Sneakers that are saved for dance class use (NOT to be worn outside of dance class)

JAZZ

Fitted Dancewear

LEVELS 1 & 2: Tan Slip-On Jazz Shoes

LEVELS 3+: Turners / Pirouettes

MOVEMENT & MUSIC

Any comfortable, form-fitting clothes. Socks are recommended, but bare feet work too

Fitted Dancewear, Black Lace-Up Tap Shoes

TAP & TWIRL

Clothes: Any leotard with tights or a shirt with leggings or form-fitting shorts.

Shoes: Pink Ballet Slippers & Black No-Tie Velcro Tap Shoes

VIP & ME

Any comfortable, form-fitting clothes. Socks, bare feet or ballet slippers
